This April, Dunwrights Air and Electrical and Dunwrights Doors and Gates, will be sending their A Team deep into the heart of the Northern Territory on the NT Tradie Roadshow.

It’s not often people outside of Darwin and Palmerston get access to specialist tradies who are committed to the Top End and know how to quote the right materials to suit the “real world” where the dust is red and fine, the sun harsh, and the extremes, well, extreme.

There are good people all through the region but the Dunwrights teams are specialists in roller doors, security doors and gates, air conditioners, and general electrical work, and this expertise is not always available locally.

In this roadshow, you’ll get access to professional, licenced tradies who can:

  • New air conditioner installation (book up front, pay deposit, and you’ll have your new unit humming – quietly – before we leave town)
  • Service and clean air conditioners (better to get longer life out of one that’s working, than wait for it to break down)
  • Some air conditioner repairs (advance notice helpful)
  • General electrical work (let us know the specifics and we will try to have parts and tools ready for as many jobs as possible)
  • Roller Door servicing and repair (let us know early, so we can source parts for repair – we’ll try to pack as much as possible)

This trip will be planned to cover as many needs as possible but it is worth noting that the curse of distance means the earlier you book with us, the better.

For example, if we are supplying and installing new light fittings or fans, we need time to get the stock and have it on board.

On the other hand, we will be carrying cable, conduit, fixings, powerpoints and light switches, safety switches and circuit breakers, bakelite, and a host of general electrical components, which will mean we will be able to DO JUST ABOUT ANYTHING if its organised before we leave with a deposit paid and the exact nature of the job(s) made explained.

Do you sell alcohol in these towns?

This question is not just for us to know at knock off time, this is really important for local retailers who sell alcohol because our trip means you’ll be able to make use of the NT Government’s Alcohol Secure Grant.

Basically, this grant means you can have security lighting, window screens, roller doors, window shutters, gates, fences, and any other active security measure that meets the guidelines for keeping alcohol stores safe.

If you know anybody involved in selling alcohol in the towns we’ll be visiting, please let them know there’s $10,000 to $20,000 available for this – they will probably shout you a drink or two!

Where will the NT Tradie Roadshow go?

We’d like to be able to quote for booze grant stuff anything from security lighting, window screens, roller doors, window shutters, gates, fences – whatever.

Towns and communities we’ll be passing through include:

  • Adelaide River
  • Burrundie
  • Pine Creek
  • Nitmiluk
  • Batchelor
  • Katherine
  • Tindal
  • Mataranka
  • Elsey
  • Numbulwar

How to get the most out of the NT Tradie Roadshow

There are a number of grants available from the Northern Territory Government, designed to stimulate the economy and build value in homes and businesses.

Dunwrights is one of the endorsed local operators that ticks all the boxes and is trusted to do the right thing for fellow Territorians. No cowboys in Dunwright territory!

If you move quickly, you can take advantage of the NT Secure Alcohol Grant, mentioned above, along with the NT Home Renovation Grant to improve the value of your property.

Some of the things you can put that $10,000 towards include automatic gates to the front of your property, upgrading current gates with a solar motor, upgrading existing roller doors, installing automatic awnings and shades, and there are more options too. Just chat with us.

We are looking forward to this trip and to hearing from you so we can be pulling up at your place and helping to transform your world!
